Simple Discount Set up

Make sure you are in an Open change package and any rules required are set up before you start.
Go to Merchandising > Promotions and click 'Add New'. Fill out the promotion detail ensuring you choose the correct store.
Choose a start and end date, how many times it can be applied in a single basket and a priority (leave this as 10 if it is the only promotion allowed to fire) - if you are applying this to multiple bottles, you will need to up how many times it can fire in the basket so the customer does not just get 1 bottle discounted if ordering multiple.
Choose where it should fire
Choose whether to fire other promotions, vouchers are not required for this promotion type and enter a basket message
Go to the Promotion Rules tab and choose 'products in basket' from the drop down and 'simple discount' from the promotion type
You do need to enter a minimum basket value for this promotion
Select a discount type - Percentage, Amount off, or Fixed price and choose a discount amount - if you choose 'Fixed price' then enter the new price of the product in the 'Discount Amount' field
Make sure you include conditions for the promotion and click 'Add new rule'
On the popup, search for the rule(s) you wish to apply to the promotion
Click 'Add' and the rule will add to the promotion
Save the promotion - then add any other delivery discounts, landing pages or attributes needed.
Once the promotion is live and published the customer will see the promotion in their basket like this
