Basket Subtotal Discount Promotions Set Up

  1. Make sure you are in an open change package and that all the rules you need are set up before you start. Go to staging and go to Merchandising>Promotions and add new. 
  2. Fill out the store, name and description and choose a start & end date
  3. Choose how often this promotion should fire in a single basket and the priority and where it should fire.
  4. Choose whether to allow other promotions to fire and select 'none' for voucher type, then enter a basket message which the customer will see.
  5. Click on the 'Promotion Rules' tab and select 'Basket Subtotal' from the 'Applies to' drop down.
  6. Enter a minimum basket value 
  7. Choose a discount type (amount off, percentage off or fixed price override) then enter a discount amount - if using 'fixed price' enter the amount the basket will be in the 'Discount Amount' field eg. 70.00
  8. If you need to add rules to the promotion, then keep 'include conditions' ticked then click 'Add new rule' to bring up the rule finder pop up
  9. Search for the rule you need and click 'add' 
  10. Once added, the rule will show on the promotion, then you can click 'Save' and the promotion is ready to publish
