BOGSHP Promotion Set Up

Any rules required should be set up prior to creating the promotion

  1. Make sure you are in an Open change package in Staging environment.
  2. Go to Merchandising > Promotions and click 'Add New'
  3. Select the relevant store and add a name and description. If you are setting up lots of similar promotions, add a Group name too.
  4. Add a start on and end on, and how many times the promotion is allowed to fire in the basket, the priority will default to '10' - this defines when the promotion fires if other promotions are allowed to fire
  5. Choose whether this should apply to Website, Telesales, Subscription or all 3
  6. Choose whether to allow other promotions to fire, vouchers do not need to be created for this promotion
  7. Add a basket message
  8. Go to the Promotion Rules tab and select applies to as 'Products in Basket' and promotion type as 'Buy one get the second half price'
  9. You do not need to set the minimum basket value as this is defined from the product you set in the rules, tick 'include conditions for this promotion'
  10. Click 'Add new rule' then search for the rule you need in the popup
  11. Click 'Add' and the rule adds to the promotion.
  12. If you need to add a landing page then click the landing page tab. Otherwise click 'Save' and it's now ready to use and be published after testing.
