1) Browse to or copy and paste the following into Windows explorer:Â
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc

Note you need to be a local admin to access this folder.Â
2) Right click on theÂ
hostsÂ
file andÂ
Open with.Â
Select your text editor of choice. In most casesÂ
Notepad
is fine.Â
3) Notepad will bring up the Host file where you can add the entry.Â
The IP address goes before the hostname as in the below screenshot.Â
