Changing details of a Preorder

If a customer needs to change the delivery address or payment info ready for when their preorder gets dispatched, it can all be done through Telesales with no need to cancel the order

  1. Go to Telesales, and CRM > Preorders
  2. Search for the Preorder reference (This will be the order number plus PO-1, but to find it easily put the order number with an * at the end e.g VW0011349*) or search for the customer email
  3. Make sure it is in a state of 'New' or 'Held' - you will not be able to amend details for orders that are 'completed' - click to View the preorder
  4. To change the delivery address, click the 'Delivery' tab - note, if the order is 'Held' you will need to click the orange 'Release' button first - but be sure to set it back to 'Held' after you are done.
  5. Choose the new delivery address from the drop down and click 'Save' - if the customer wants to add a gift message this can also be done here.
  6. To change the payment method, click on the 'Payment Tab'
  7. Select the new payment method, or add a new card if needed, and change the delivery address if required, then click 'Save' 
  8. The new details are now saved, remember to click 'Hold' if you released it to make the changes.
