Activate | Deactivate Faketime within QA

While testing Mantiki, sometimes it’s required to fake the time for the Shop and Telesales applications. This can now be achieved via AWX.

 Instructions

Activating faketime

  1. Log into AWX, select templates and click the launch icon next to the Activate faketime template.

  2. Set the time_string variable to match the desired time configuration. The format must be the following: YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS. For example 2020-04-02 09:30:00. Then click next

  3. If you’re happy with the configuration, click launch to deploy.

Deactivating faketime

You can deactivate faketime by running the Deactivate faketime template. This will remove the faketime configuration and restart the target services.
