User Licensing & Management
There are a number of licenses defined for Users within Salesforce.
Salesforce User License - this is a basic user license which is given to a user when they are active.
Included within User Licenses, are 'Flex' licenses - these are used for temporary staff, each 'Flex' license = 1 months use, so for 10 temporary staff who work 3 months we need 30 'flex' licenses.
Underneath the high level user licensing, we have 'Feature Licenses' - which dictate what a user is used for - such as Service Cloud, Chat, Flows etc.

User Considerations
Where it is not indicated if a user is a 'Service' user, these are classed as 'Sales' users automatically - for instance, all of Corporate Team are 'Sales' users.
Before any new user is registered on Salesforce outside of Customer Service, Wine Advisor, New Business or Corporate, the user must gain approval from IT team before being granted a license.
