RAF is where a customer can share a link via social media, email or another format where their friends can access our site and purchase. Once they have made a wine purchase and it has been dispatched, the referrer received £10 promo credit as a thank you.
Once a customer has placed an order for any product, they will see a link in the ‘My Account’ drop down to ‘Refer a Friend’ – Note – this link appears as soon as an order has been placed, regardless of whether it is ticket, gift, wine or whether it gets referred or cancelled.
When clicked, the customer will be taken to a page which explains the process and has a unique link which they can share directly to email, Facebook, Twitter or Whatsapp, or can be copied and pasted wherever the customer chooses.
Once a friend clicks on the link, their session will be tracked –
- If they clear their cookies BEFORE logging in then the tracking will be lost and no reward will be given to the referrer
- If they clear their cookies AFTER creating an account then the tracking remains on their account
- If their session expires after creating an account then the tracking remains on their account
- If they close their browser after creating an account then the tracking remains on their account for next time they log in
- If they close their browser before creating an account then the tracking will be lost no reward will be given to the referrer
There are 4 different versions of the landing page that the friend could land on after using the referral link –
Normal – referral link from a customer who is not a member of any schemes
Winebank – referral link from a customer who is a member of Winebank
Discovery Club – Referral link from a customer who is a member of Discovery Club (Follows the same 2 step process as clicking from the Wine Clubs option in the menu)
Just Reds – Referral link from a customer who is a member of Just Reds
If a customer is a member of Winebank plus another subscription, then the link that gets sent to their friends takes them to the Winebank page.
If a customer is a member of Disco and Just Reds, then the link that gets sent to their friends takes them to the Discovery Club page.
All of the Referral Links will be /raf/[uniquecode].
The friend using the shared link must purchase within that session and have never ordered before. They must order a Wine product (premixed or bespoke) - ordering a ticket, gift or voucher will mean that the referrer will not get their £10 reward.
