On occasion, a large number of products need their prices changed - for example for a Sale.
- Before you start you must be in an Open Change package on Staging Back Office.
- Create a CSV file containing the products and price changes - example csv can be downloaded here
- A store code of 'default' must be entered, product code must be entered, minimum quantity, currency must be listed as 'GBP', price & was price must always be entered.
- Go to 'tasks' on the menu and choose 'Bulk Price Update'
- Click 'Choose file' and upload the csv file
- Click 'Execute task'
- Click 'Jobs' and the file will be there at the start time - 'UNKNOWN' means it is processing
- Keep refreshing until the exit code moves to 'complete'
- Click 'Details' and 'get report'
- This downloads a spreadsheet with the details of the pricing and whether it was successful.
- If it was all successful, check the pricing of the wines by going to Merchandising > Products and searching for the sku, then click on 'Prices' on the left hand menu. If the new price is there, it worked and you can now publish the change package
