In the PLU the was price will be used as the permanent price unless the was price is not present, in which case the current price will be used. The current product price will be used as the promotional price. If there is no promotion then the was price and current price should be equal, this will set the promotion price to 0 in the PLU file, indication indicating that there is no current promotion.
